What causes the press felt to lose its wool？

There are many reasons for the paper-making felt to fall off. In this article, we will tell you how to solve the problem of paper-making felt falling off.

1.The needling of papermaking felt is not tight enough, and the heat-setting is too light, which causes the fibers can not hold tightly together, making the felt easy to fluff.

Solution ：Adopting reasonable felt needling technique, properly increasing needling depth and times will improve the felt tightness and heating degrees. Using hot oil roller heat setting, hot air heat setting, hot oil cylinder and far-infrared stereotypes or hot air heating oil drum to raise the blanket heat setting quality and provide felt self abrasion resistance.

2.Lack of lubricating water between the vacuum panel and the felt, which causes the temperature rise and the fiber is damaged.

Solution: for paper machine especially middle speed or high speed paper machine, the rational use of lvubricating water now only benefit to the clean degree of the felt but also produce a water film between the vacuum panel and blanket which play a role as a lubrication, sealing and cooling effect.

3.There is a speed difference between the relevant transmission points, causing the blankets to rub and wear out.

Solution: Adjust the speed ratio of each transmission point correctly to avoid the abnormal speed difference.

4.The cleaning degree of the pulp is not enough, the residual chlorine is too high, and the chemical washing blanket with high acid and alkali concentration is too high, which causes the premature aging of the blanket, which makes the wear resistance of the blanket drop.

Soultion:Improve the cleaning degree of the slurry, reduce the residual chlorine content, select appropriate chemicals to wash the blanket, and extend the service life of the felt.
